Earlier this week, a black bear literally crashed a little kid's birthday party and proceeded to eat the cupcakes.
Alicia Bishop and Glenn Merrill were preparing for their son's first birthday party when the bear fell through the skylight into the living room, landing not three feet from Merrill himself. Merrill and the bear stared at each other in disbelief. "I don't know who was more stunned," Merrill said. "I think, both."
As Merrill called for his parents to take his son upstairs to safety and ran into the next room and closed the door, the bear recovered from its fall and wandered over to the table that held the cupcakes for the party.
The dazed bear quickly recovered from its fall. It then calmly wandered over to the living room table, replete with a spread of birthday treats, and helped itself to some lemon blueberry and peanut butter cupcakes.

Bishop watched the bear feast from behind the kitchen's glass doors. "The bear walks over and puts its paws up on the table and starts licking his birthday cupcakes, and I'm just like, you've got to be kidding me," she said.
Bishop and Merrill were eventually able to shoo the bear out of the house, but the bear continued to linger, looking longingly at the cupcakes left on the table. "It was up by the window like, 'I want more cupcakes,'" Bishop said.
"He wanted back in, that's for sure," Merrill said. The bear was eventually driven away with the bear spray Merrill borrowed from a neighbor.
