Anchor Point

Located on the Kenai Peninsula, Anchor Point is 23 miles north of Homer and 61 miles south of Soldotna on the Sterling Highway.

Anchorage

Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage is on the southcentral gulf coast,located on the shores of Cook Inlet. Anchorage is also Mile 0 of the Glenn Highway and Mile 127 (the end) of the Seward Highway.

Cantwell

Located at junction with the Denali Highway, 21 miles south of entrance to Denali National Parkon the Parks Highway.

Chicken

Chicken is located at Milepost 66 on the Taylor Highway, 80 miles from Tok, 94 miles from Eagle and 108 miles from Dawson City, YT.

Chitina

Chitina is located at Milepost 33 on the Edgerton Highway, 120 miles northeast of Valdez, and 66 miles southeast of Glennallen.

Circle

Circle is located at the end of the Steese Highway on the Yukon River, 50 miles south of the Arctic Circle, and 161 miles from Fairbanks.

Coffman Cove

(Pr. of Wales Island) Located 55 miles north of Klawock, a 2-hour drive from Hollis/ferry terminal.

Cooper Landing

Cooper Landing is located on the Kenai Peninsula along the Sterling Highway at the west end of Kenai Lake. It is 101 miles from Anchorage and 131 miles from Homer.

Copper Center

Copper Center is located 105 miles north of Valdez on the Richardson Highway.

Cordova

Cordova is located on the southeast shore of Orca Inlet on the east side of Prince William Sound. Cordova is accessible only by plane (to Mudhole Smith Airport), by boat and by Alaska State Ferry.

Craig

(Pr. of Wales Island) Craig is located on the western shore of Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, 3 miles from Klawock and 31 miles from Clark Bay ferry terminal via the Craig-Klawock-Hollis Highway. Prince of Wales Island is reached via the Inter-Island Ferry Authority's MV Prince of Walesor MV Stikineferry between Ketchikan and Hollis/Clark Bay.

Deadhorse

Deadhorse is located on Prudhoe Bay at the end of the Dalton Highway, 498 miles north of Fairbanks.

Delta Junction

Delta Junction is located at Historical Mile 1422 of the Alaska Highway, at the junction of the Alaska and Richardson highways.

Eagle

Eagle is located at the end of the Taylor Highway on the south bank of the Yukon River, 171 miles from Tok, 94 miles from Chicken and 143 miles from Dawson City, YT.

Ester

Located on a spur road west of Milepost A 351.2 Parks Highway, 10 miles south of Fairbanks.

Located in the heart of Alaska’s Interior, Fairbanks is at the junction of the Parks, Steese and Richardson highways.

Girdwood is located on the Alyeska Highway, 39 miles south of Anchorage.

Glenallen

Glennallen is located on the Glenn Highway, 189 miles northeast of Anchorage and 141 miles southwest of Tok.

Gustavus

(Southeast Alaska) Gustavus is located on the north shore of Icy Strait, 48 miles northwest of Juneau. Gustavus is accessible only by boat or by plane.

Haines

(Southeast Alaska) Haines is located on Portage Cove, Chilkoot Inlet, on the upper arm of Lynn Canal, 80 air miles northwest of Juneau; 152 road miles southeast of Haines Junction, YT, via the Haines Highway. Haines is only 15 miles by water from Skagway (Alaska Marine Highway ferries and more frequent passenger-only fast ferry, available), but it is 359 miles by road.

Halibut Cove

Halibut Cove is located on the east shore of Kachemak Bay, 7 miles southeast of Homer, and is accessible only by plane or boat.

Healy

Located along the Parks Highway at Healy Road, 11 miles north of Denali National Park.

Homer

Homer is located on the Kenai Peninsula on the north shore of Kachemak Bay, 226 miles by highway or 40 minutes by jet aircraft from Anchorage.

Hope

Hope is located at the end of  the Hope Highway on Turnagain Arm, 87 miles from Anchorage.

Hydaburg

(Pr. of Wales Island) Hydaburg is located on Prince of Wales Island, 36 miles from Hollis, 45 miles from Craig.

Hyder

(Southeast Alaska) Hyder is located just across the international border from Stewart, BC, and is accessible via a spur road off the Cassiar Highway in British Columbia.

Juneau

(Southeast Alaska) Juneau is located on Gastineau Channel in Southeast Alaska, and is accessible only by boat or plane. Juneau is 2 hours from Seattle by air; 1-1/2 hours from Anchorage by air; 2  to 2-1/2 hours by fast ferry from Haines and Skagway.

Kenai

Kenai is located on the Kenai Peninsula, 159 miles from Anchorage, 89 miles from Homer and 11 miles north of Soldotna.

Kennicott

Located 314 miles from Anchorage, McCarthy is about 1 mile by road from the end of the McCarthy Road; Kennicott is about 5 miles by road from McCarthy.

Ketchikan

(Southeast Alaska) Ketchikan is located on the southwest coast of Revillagigedo Island, on Tongass Narrows, 235 miles south of Juneau and 90 miles north of Prince Rupert, BC.

Klawock

Kodiak

Moose Pass is located on the Kenai Peninsula, 98 miles south of Anchorage and 29 miles north of Seward.

Neana

Located at the confluence of the Tanana and Nenana rivers, 57 miles south of Fairbanks at Milepost 304.5 Parks Highway.

Ninilchik

Skagway

(Southeast Alaska) Skagway is located on the north end of Taiya Inlet on Lynn Canal, 2-1/2 hours by fast ferry or 90 air miles northwest of Juneau; 108 road miles south of Whitehorse, YT, via the South Klondike Highway. Skagway is 15 miles by water and 359 miles by road from Haines.

Soldotna

Soldotna is located on the western Kenai Peninsula, 84 miles north of Homer, 148 miles from Anchorage and 95 miles from Seward via the Sterling Highway.

Sterling

Sterling is located on the Sterling Highway, 81 miles from Seward, 134 miles from Anchorage and 98 miles from Homer, at the confluence of the Moose and Kenai rivers.

Talkeetna

Located on at the end of 14-mile-long Talkeetna Spur Road, which junction with the Parks Highway at Milepost A 98.7 Parks Highway then deadends at Talkeetna's Main Street. Talkeetna is situated at the confluence of the Talkeetna, Susitna and Chulitna rivers.

Thorne Bay

(Pr. of Wales Island) Thorne Bay is located on the east coast of Prince of Wales Island, 57 miles from the Clark Bay ferry terminal and 34 miles from Klawock.

Tok

Tok is located Milepost 1314 Alaska Highway, at the junction with the Tok Cutoff (Glenn Highway), 328 driving miles from Anchorage, 254 miles from Valdez and 206 miles from Fairbanks.

Valdez

Valdez (pronounced val-DEEZ) is located on Port Valdez, an estuary off Valdez Arm in Prince William Sound. Valdez is 115 air miles fronm Anchorage; 304 highway miles (about a 5-hour drive) from Anchorage; and 366 highway miles from Fairbanks.

Wasilla

Located between Wasilla and Lucille lakes in the Susitna Valley, about 42 miles north of Anchorage, on the Parks Highway.

Whittier

Population: 220 Whittier is located at the head of Passage Canal on Prince William Sound, 59 miles south of Anchorage via the Seward Highway and Whittier Access Road.  

Wrangell

(Southeast Alaska) Wrangell is located at northwest tip of Wrangell Island on Zimovia Strait, 3 hours by ferry or 32 air miles southeast of Petersburg, and 6 hours by ferry or 85 air miles north of Ketchikan.
