BLM Offers Digital Maps

Backcountry information at your fingertips

Heading into the backcountry but don’t want to carry paper topo maps? No problem. The Bureau of Land Management now offers digital maps. Just download to your phone— then use the maps even without cell service. Areas include the Denali Highway, Dalton Highway, National Petroleum Reserve Alaska, Unalakleet National Wild River, Fortymile Wild and Scenic River, White Mountains National Recreation Area, and a few others.

Public interest in digital maps spurred BLM to create these; digital maps are easier and cheaper to update than paper versions. Find maps at blm.gov/maps.
