Bear 1

Description:
The tide was out early in the morning . Brown bears tend to work the tidal zone at low tide, flipping rocks and eating the various creatures underneath. We found this bear working the tidal zone near Reid Glacier. We carefully and slowing worked towards the bear in a skiff. As we worked closer, the bear looked up to check us out, almost saying, "who are you?". We didn't disturb the bear --- we were able to watch it work the tidal zone for over 30 minutes after this pic was taken.
